About

Megan recently relocated to the Kansas City area from Tampa, Florida, where she spent the last 13 years of her career practicing as a clinician and professor at the University of South Florida. Originally from South Dakota, she is excited to return to her midwestern roots and to trade in her flip flops and palm trees for Ugg boots and fall leaves!

Megan’s professional journey began when she graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Duke University in 2008. She became a board-certified clinical specialist in orthopedic physical therapy in 2013, is a certified strength and conditioning specialist, and is also an APTA credentialed clinical instructor.

Patient care has always been Megan’s deepest passion, and she takes immense pride in her clinical practice approach, which centers around the principles of collaborative, innovative, patient-centered, evidence-based, compassionate care with a strong emphasis on manual therapy, soft tissue mobilization, restoration of optimal movement patterns, and patient education.

Megan enjoys returning patients to their previous level of activity from the weekend warrior to the elite athlete. Megan genuinely loves coming to work every day, which is reflected via the level of care she delivers. Your patient visits under Megan’s care will always include an unmatched attention to detail, combined with the perfect amount of wit! She is thankful to be in a rewarding profession that allows her to develop relationships while helping others. Her specific areas of clinical interest and established expertise include management of the running athlete, assessment of gait and faulty running mechanics, pilates-based rehabilitation, evaluation of the performing arts patient population, and treating lower extremity musculoskeletal dysfunction. Megan played soccer in college and thus also has an inherent passion for working with athletes, specifically helping those status post ACL reconstruction return to sport at a higher level than pre-injury.

In her free time, she enjoys being active, spending time outdoors, and is an avid runner. Megan also enjoys spending time with her family and being a super aunt to her four nieces and nephews!
