Our F.I.T. Muscle & Joint physical therapists in the Blue Valley District use and evidence based, patient centered methodology. Pain Management
The most common reason for someone to come to a physical therapist is because they’re experiencing some kind of pain. The F.I.T. team is passionate about many aspects of physical therapy. But one of the most common themes we see among patients is the idea of returning to play after an injury. F.I.T. is equipped to match patients needing concussion management with a highly specialized physical therapist trained in treating these injuries in people of all ages, especially those involved in high school or college sports.
The key to responsible play, however, is understanding your risk for injury before it happens. F.I.T. Muscle & Joint Clinic can perform a baseline concussion test, also known as ImPACT testing, before you experience a concussion. This measures everything from reaction timing to cognitive focus and memory recall. Having this information on record can help us determine the best way to treat your concussion if you are to receive one within the season.
