Getting Back to the Speed of Life
Physical Therapy in Olathe
Our F.I.T. Muscle & Joint Clinic physical therapists in the Olathe use an evidence-based, patient centered methodology. Our mission is to empower our patients to maximize their health, power, and performance. We utilize a “Functional Integrative Triage” (F.I.T.) approach to patient care.
The Benefits of Physical Therapy
The most common reason for someone to come to a physical therapist is because they’re experiencing some kind of pain. And while there may be medicinal options to treat the symptom of your pain, neither opioids nor over-the-counter medications can effectively address the cause of your pain. Our physical therapists in Olathe are experts in not only identifying underlying conditions and causes of pain, but also in coming up with customized, innovative physical therapy solutions to help you actually improve and get better over time.
Whether it’s an injury from the field or everyday life, surgery may be required to address more severe concerns. But the majority of the time, surgery alone is not enough to address your issues and prevent them from recurring. That’s where physical therapy comes in. Our PT services in Olathe are a critical aspect of the pre- and post-surgical process. Following up your surgery with the appropriate and targeted post-operative rehab can involve any combination of physical therapy rehabilitation exercises and soft tissue therapies. This process will help ensure the results of your surgery are long-lasting and that you can actually return to your life and the activities you love, without worrying about re-injury or chronic pain.
Sports Performance & Injury Prevention
At F.I.T. Muscle & Joint Clinic in Olathe, our physical therapists are passionate about not only helping you recover from past injuries, but also about preventing future injuries. Athletes of all ages come to our PT clinic to better understand their body’s movements, including any potential dysfunctions, and enhance and optimize their performance.
Pediatric Physical Therapy
It isn’t just adults who are able to utilize physical therapy. Some of the physical therapy patients we serve at our Olathe PT Clinic actually start from birth. That’s because it’s no longer acceptable to take the “wait and see” approach when it comes to things like genetic conditions, neurological conditions, coordination and motor planning, and more. Pediatric physical therapy focuses on establishing good movement and habits, ensuring stability, and developing gross motor skills from a young age.
The F.I.T. team is passionate about many aspects of physical therapy. But one of the most common themes we see among patients is the idea of returning to play after an injury. F.I.T. is equipped to match patients needing concussion management with a highly specialized physical therapist trained in treating these injuries in people of all ages, especially those involved in high school or college sports.
The key to responsible play, however, is understanding your risk for injury before it happens. F.I.T. Muscle & Joint Clinic can perform a baseline concussion test, also known as ImPACT testing, before you experience a concussion. This measures everything from reaction timing to cognitive focus and memory recall. Having this information on record can help us determine the best way to treat your concussion if you are to receive one within the season.

I wish I could give F.I.T. more than 5 stars! From the moment I walked into their office, I felt supported and heard. They took time to listen to my experiences, and then thoroughly evaluated me before being spot-on with a diagnosis - which was confirmed by an MRI. My therapist is gentle, yet incredibly firm with her manipulations and exercises. She is compassionate and supportive with me as I work to build strength and flexibility in my back and hip. I cannot say enough about how professional, kind, and personable everyone is at F.I.T.!!
Jim and the staff are awesome! I’m a baseball coach and was having some back issues due to throwing about 1000 batting practice pitches a week. Back is definitely better and Jim was the first Chiropractor that I’ve met that actually understands the biomechanics of throwing so his training is way above average!
For months, whenever I'd exercise I'd have frustrating knee pain that was causing me to never finish a workout. I was impressed with how Dr. Allison really took the time to understand my symptoms and put me on a plan to recovery. After our first appointment, not only was I relieved that I had someone dedicated to my recovery, but I noticed considerable results after that first session. Within a few weeks I was back to my regular amounts of exercise. What was of particular value to me was not only did my pain get resolved, but I had the knowledge and specific exercises to keep the injury from returning.
Dr. Aaron is great! I was originally referred to him for helping reduce my migraines and tension headaches after their frequency and intensity had spiked dramatically. Dr. Aaron developed a treatment plan which consisted of chiropractic care and soft tissue work, as well as a number of changes and exercises which I work on in my own time. Overall, working with Dr. Aaron has helped to reduce my number of migraines and tension headaches as well as lower their intensity. I would highly recommend Dr. Aaron!
The whole staff at F.I.T is friendly, welcoming, and professional. Bridgette is an extremely knowledgeable PT and has helped me tremendously in recovering from a discectomy. Michael is an amazing chiropractor with so much patience and positivity — it’s clear he’s very passionate about helping people and he really knows what he’s doing. You will be in great hands with anyone on the team at F.I.T. 100% recommend!
