Our Story

Founded in 2012

Matt Lane and Chad Barnes opened F.I.T. Muscle & Joint Clinic in 2012 with some aggressive goals in mind. Not only did they want to develop and grow a cutting-edge physical therapy clinic in Kansas City, they also wanted to develop a model that could potentially change healthcare as whole. They wanted to create a place that allowed practitioners to grow a practice that focused solely on patient care—rather than profit.

The Best Doctors & Physical Therapists in the Midwest

Because of that unique mindset, they have been able to gather the best chiropractors and physical therapists in the Midwest. We were very fortunate to have many mentors help pave the way and give us confidence to inject our type of physical medicine into the Kansas City metro.

A Different Approach

to Physical Therapy

Matt and Chad both believed in the importance of not only spinal and joint manipulations, which are stressed heavily in schools, but to take into great consideration how the muscles and overall movement of the body play into improving function.

Our Future

Dr. Barnes and Dr. Lane continue to grow their personal and professional relationship and wake up every morning energized with the new possibilities of tomorrow.

Better Than Before

F.I.T. Muscle & Joint Clinic created an environment where chiropractic care and physical therapy combine, resulting in a truly unique and effective experience for our patients. As a physical therapy clinic in Kansas City, our greatest reward is returning patients to their active, pain-free lifestyles in the shortest timeframe possible, better than before.
