Physical Therapy for Plantar Fasciitis in Kansas City
Plantar Fasciitis is one of the most common causes of foot and/or heel pain.
Plantar Fasciitis involves inflammation of a thick band of tissue (the plantar fascia) that runs across the bottom of your foot and connects your heel bone to your toes. When muscles of the foot and/or calf are tight, it creates increased pull and force through the plantar fascia, which leads to pain in the bottom of the foot at the arch or at the heel. Left untreated, plantar fasciitis can create a bone spur on the heel which only increases pain.
